Between the Northern hemisphere spring equinox of 2020, on the 20th of March, and for about a month and a half, I made this series. The procedure was as follows: Immediately after my morning body-mind practice I did one aquarelle. Then throughout the morning, as each layer dried, I continued, layer by layer. Each aquarelle was finished during the same day.
This project is composed of two central aspects of yoga; hatha yoga and karma yoga. Hatha yoga focuses on the body, while karma yoga focuses on the physical environment that surrounds us. Whether the body or the physical surroundings, it is how they effect the mind that interests me.
